What Thermal Imaging Can and Can’t Do

Thermal imaging is a supplemental screening tool and should not be considered x-ray vision. It highlights temperature patterns that may be consistent with moisture intrusion, insulation deficiencies, air leakage, or overheating. When used with building knowledge, it helps decide where more invasive testing or repair work is warranted.
